Trump Provides Significant Update on Iran, Citing Their Miscalculation
In response, Trump issued a strong statement extending the ceasefire at the request of Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He directed the U.S. military to continue the full blockade and remain ready to act while Iran’s fractured leadership tries to come up with a unified proposal.
Vice President JD Vance, along with negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, had been scheduled to fly to Pakistan. Instead they were called to the White House for consultations. Iran is now stalling, hoping delay will hurt Trump and Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms. They are badly mistaken.
President Trump made it clear he is willing to take decisive action against the mullahs and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps rather than allow endless negotiations that only weaken America. The Iranian regime is seriously fractured and has badly miscalculated.
Trump’s latest Truth Social post leaves no doubt:
“Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is seriously fractured, not unexpectedly so and, upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our Attack on the Country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal. I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the Ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other.”
This is classic Trump leadership — strong, decisive, and always putting America First. While Iran plays games and stalls, President Trump keeps the pressure on with a tight blockade and a military that remains locked and loaded.
For years the radical left and weak previous administrations allowed Iran to grow bolder, fund terrorism, and threaten the region. President Trump is reversing that weakness. The Iranian regime screwed up by thinking delay and defiance would work. They are now learning the hard way that America under Trump does not play by their rules.
The American people see the contrast clearly. Radical Democrats and their media allies want endless talks and weakness. President Trump delivers strength, results, and puts U.S. interests first every single time.
This latest update shows once again why Americans chose Trump. He is not afraid to use American power when necessary, and he is not afraid to extend a ceasefire on America’s terms when it serves our strategic interests.
More decisive action is coming. The radical left’s house of cards is collapsing as President Trump continues to restore American strength on the world stage.
