President Donald Trump Removes Democrat Activist Judges

These were not random firings. Many of the removed judges were appointees from the Obama era who repeatedly blocked deportations, granted stays to immigrants who were in the country illegally, and prioritized politics over the law. Their dismissals send a clear signal: the time of activist judges acting as an unelected shadow border patrol is over.

As expected, the judges who were fired are now complaining. Jennifer Peyton, an Obama appointee since 2016, stated she received excellent reviews yet was terminated while on vacation with her family. She blames conservative watchdogs and even a tour she gave to Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin. The immigration judges’ union reports that another 50 judges have been transferred or encouraged to retire. Union president Matt Biggs says those remaining feel “threatened.” That is exactly what happens when a large, unaccountable bureaucracy that protected illegal immigration for years finally faces real consequences.

In Chicago, short-term judge Carla Espinoza claims her contract was not renewed because of her gender and Hispanic surname. Yet the case that defined her record involved releasing a Mexican national flagged by Homeland Security for threatening the President. She dismissed it as “fair.” Now she is upset that the consequences have finally arrived.

Former DOJ lawyer Erez Reuveni, once a supporter of Trump’s policies, now complains he was fired after refusing to label a deported Salvadoran as a terrorist. He calls it “manipulation” when senior officials expedite deportations. Millions of Americans call it efficiency — finally prioritizing American safety.

President Trump did not just promise to secure the border. He promised to end the catch-and-release rubber-stamp culture that affected the entire immigration system. These firings are the first significant step in that cleanup.

For too long, activist judges operated without oversight, prioritizing radical open-border ideology over the rule of law. They turned courtrooms into tools to obstruct legal deportations and protect criminal aliens. No more.

The radical left is in full panic mode. The same Democrats who used every court against President Trump are now shouting about “political purges” when accountability finally reaches their own allies.
