"The war should be ending pretty soon," President Trump stated late Thursday. On Friday, he added that the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports will stay in "FULL FORCE" until a final, firm agreement is reached.
A NEW DAWN IN THE MIDDLE EAST?
The effects of Trump’s foreign policy are felt beyond the Strait. In a significant turn of events, Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire.
In a move similar to the Abraham Accords, President Trump announced he will invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the White House for what would be the first meaningful discussions between the two nations in decades.
The President also issued a clear warning to the group Hezbollah, stating he expects Lebanese authorities to finally address their presence and restore sovereignty to the region.

While markets are rallying, analysts at ING caution that the situation is not yet resolved. Experts estimate that 13 million barrels per day of supply have been affected by the conflict.
The "key upside risk," according to analysts, is whether Tehran will actually fulfill its promises or if the peace talks will fail. But for now, with the U.S. Navy on guard and the President in charge, the momentum has clearly shifted back to Washington.
