Ocasio-Cortez Faces Scandal as Police Focus on Illegal Activities in Her District

Washington D.C. — Radical Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is facing fresh outrage as her own Queens district has descended into chaos, with Roosevelt Avenue now resembling a third-world red-light district rather than an American neighborhood.

Sex workers openly solicit customers in broad daylight. Vendors grill meat, hawk counterfeit electronics, and sell suspected stolen goods right on the sidewalks. Local families say the area feels like a no-go zone, and they have begged AOC and Rep. Grace Meng for help — but nothing has changed.

Republican City Council candidate Ramses Frias told Fox News Digital the criminal activity has returned full force. Violent migrant gangs such as the notorious 18th Street and Tren de Aragua are marking territory with graffiti and operating in plain sight. Eight members of the deadly 18th Street gang were recently indicted for a series of violent beatings, stabbings, extortion, narcotics trafficking, and smuggling counterfeit passports and currency. Seven of the eight are in the country illegally.

Fox News Digital walked the avenue after one of AOC’s recent town halls and counted as many as 30 women on a single block openly offering sex while children and families walked by. On AOC’s side of the strip, vendors sell fake Apple products and unregulated food stored in unlabeled containers under the subway tracks. Health and safety standards appear nonexistent.

This is the direct result of radical left policies pushed by AOC and her socialist allies: open borders, soft-on-crime approaches, and a refusal to enforce the law. Under the Biden-Harris administration and continued radical Democrat control in deep-blue cities, migrant gangs have flooded into communities like Queens, turning streets into criminal marketplaces while elected officials look the other way.

President Donald J. Trump has repeatedly warned that unchecked illegal immigration and weak law enforcement would create exactly this kind of chaos.
