Long-Time Democratic Supporter Jamie Dimon Criticizes Party Leaders, Calling Them "Idiots"

Washington D.C. — JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has sharply criticized the Democratic Party, describing some Democrats as “idiots” who “do not understand how the real world works” and have “little brains.”
In remarks made during a foreign-ministry event in Dublin, Ireland, Dimon said he has many friends who are Democrats but believes many of their policies have failed. He stated that the party has implemented measures that did not achieve their intended outcomes.
Dimon also commented on California’s regulatory environment during a visit to a Chase Bank branch affected by the recent Palisades fire. He suggested that excessive regulations from Democrats make it difficult for businesses to operate, employ people, and deliver value to customers. He advocated for good regulations and an efficient government regardless of party affiliation.
The comments come as the Democratic Party continues to face internal debates. Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist who won the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, has drawn attention for his far-left positions. Following his victory, the Democratic Socialists of America indicated plans to consider primary challenges against several congressional Democrats in New York City, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and other members.
Jeffries has faced criticism from some progressive leaders who view him as too moderate. Democratic strategist Andre Richardson emphasized Jeffries’ focus on opposing actions taken by President Donald Trump during his second term.
The developments reflect ongoing divisions within the Democratic Party between establishment figures and more progressive elements as the party prepares for future elections.
