Karoline Leavitt's Pregnancy Announcement Sparks Speculation About White House Press Secretary Replacement

The White House Press Secretary shared a pregnancy update on social media as speculation grows over who will replace her during her upcoming maternity leave in May

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt offered a peek into her life as a mother while expecting her second child in her most recent social media update.

On Saturday, April 18, Karoline, 28, posted a video to her Instagram Stories showing off her baby bump as she her enjoying time with her toddler son, Niko, whom she shares with husband Nicholas Riccio, 60. With Karoline’s expected delivery in May, three women from her press team are reportedly under consideration as possible interim replacements during her maternity leave.

The update comes after Karoline splurged on a luxury pink stroller that runs over a thousand dollars, as Americans continue to struggle to afford everyday necessities.

In the clip, an expectant Karoline recorded her young son as she wheeled him in a car-shaped stroller. The country rock track “Beautiful Morning” by Rascal Flatts accompanied the footage, which was labeled “Just bumping along.”

As Karoline and her husband, Nicholas, await their second child, discussions about who might temporarily assume her role as White House Press Secretary have intensified. The three supposed candidates are Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly, Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers, and Regional Press Secretary Liz Huston.
