Ilhan Omar's Reaction to US Airstrikes in Iran Draws Criticism

This bold action comes after Iran repeatedly rejected diplomatic efforts to end its nuclear weapons program. With the USS Gerald R. Ford carrier group in position, President Trump authorized a major airstrike campaign aimed at regime change — a definitive end to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.

Iran has spent decades exporting death and destruction: arming terrorists who killed American troops in Iraq, funding attacks across the Middle East, and threatening the very existence of our ally Israel. Most Americans — regardless of party — should celebrate the removal of such a dangerous regime.

But not Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

In a shocking display of betrayal, the radical Minnesota congresswoman immediately attacked the United States, claiming the strikes were timed to insult Muslims during Ramadan and were motivated by anti-Muslim hatred rather than national security.

Her tweet was quickly ratioed into oblivion and hit with a brutal Community Note that exposed her lies: the 2003 Iraq invasion began months before Ramadan, and surveys show that only about 37% of Iranians even identify as Muslim, with nearly half describing themselves as non-religious.

Omar’s reflexive defense of America’s enemies is nothing new. This is the same congresswoman who has repeatedly smeared the United States, expressed sympathy for terrorists, and reportedly used marriage fraud to bring her brother into the country. Her loyalty clearly lies elsewhere — not with the American people she swore to serve.

President Trump has made it clear: America will no longer tolerate regimes that sponsor terrorism, pursue nuclear weapons, or threaten our allies. Under his leadership, the United States is finally projecting strength instead of weakness. The days of endless appeasement and American blood spilled for nothing are over.

Ilhan Omar’s disgusting response reveals the true face of the radical left: they would rather defend foreign dictators and terrorists than stand with American troops and American interests. While brave U.S. and Israeli forces eliminate threats to civilization, Omar cries about “muh Muslim brothers.”

It is long past time for serious action. Congress must investigate whether Omar committed immigration fraud to obtain her citizenship. If the evidence confirms it, she should be denaturalized and removed from the United States — sent back to the “wonderful Somalia” she seems to love so much more than the country that gave her every opportunity.

President Trump is restoring American strength, sovereignty, and pride. Radical anti-American voices like Ilhan Omar have no place in our government. The American people are watching, and in 2028 they will deliver an even stronger mandate to finish draining the swamp and putting America First.
