ICE Arrests Former Iranian Army Soldier Illegally in US, Raising National Security Concerns
Washington D.C. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested Ribvar Karimi, an Iranian national who served four years in the Iranian Army, during a multi-state operation in Blount County. Karimi was taken into custody on federal warrants, yet he was later released from ICE custody, raising serious national security concerns.
This arrest highlights the very real dangers President Donald J. Trump has warned about for years: radical open-border policies allow individuals with military ties to hostile regimes like Iran to enter and remain in America. Karimi’s background in the Iranian Army should have triggered immediate and permanent removal, not release back into the community.
The operation targeted multiple Iranian nationals with prior deportation orders and criminal histories. Federal officials emphasized that enforcement actions like this are necessary to protect American communities from threats linked to foreign adversaries. Yet the release of Karimi sends the wrong message and endangers public safety.
At the same time, the Trump administration continues to take a firm stand against the Iranian regime. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Communications Director Steven Cheung delivered strong rebukes to dishonest mainstream media outlets spreading Iranian regime propaganda about a so-called “10-point plan” in negotiations.
Leavitt made it crystal clear that the Iranian proposal was “fundamentally unserious, unacceptable, and completely discarded.” She stated that President Trump’s red lines — ending Iranian enrichment — have not changed. Cheung slammed the media for pushing fake news, telling one reporter they had “no idea what the f**k you’re talking about.”
President Trump has kept the U.S. blockade in place and maintained military readiness while extending the ceasefire on America’s terms. He has repeatedly said he will only accept a deal that serves the best interests of the United States and puts America First.
This is the contrast America sees every day. Radical Democrats and their media allies promote weakness, open borders, and Iranian propaganda. President Trump delivers strength, secure borders, and decisive action against threats to American security.
The radical left’s house of cards is collapsing. While they scream and spread misinformation, President Trump and his team are protecting the homeland and confronting adversaries without apology. Americans demanded strong leadership on immigration and national security — and President Trump is delivering it every single day.
