Democrat Leaves Party, Joins Republicans: "They Are Making Me Sick"
Washington D.C. – The radical Democrat Party is losing voters at an alarming rate, with even longtime supporters publicly abandoning the party.
On a recent C-SPAN call, a 78-year-old lifelong Democrat who voted for Kamala Harris in 2024 stated he is finished with the party. He said, “I’ve been a Democrat all my life… but this party has changed so damn much. It makes me sick. I’m going to move out of it,” specifically mentioning Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, urging both to “be in a home” and step aside.

Earlier in the week, a Pennsylvania Democrat told C-SPAN she will no longer vote for any Democrat, citing frustration with the party’s handling of the government shutdown and its radical direction. In August, three separate Democratic callers on the same program criticized their party for weakness, obsession with attacking President Trump, and a dangerous shift toward far-left extremism, including praise for figures like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and socialist candidates.
The numbers support this exodus. A New York Times analysis showed Democrats lost approximately 2.1 million registered voters between 2020 and 2024, while Republicans gained 2.4 million — a significant 4.5 million voter swing toward the GOP. New polling indicates Democrats hold only a modest 5-6 point lead on the generic congressional ballot, far below historical midterm expectations under a Republican president, and Republicans now lead on net party favorability.
Teamsters President Sean O’Brien joined Vice President JD Vance and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy at the White House this week, calling for an immediate end to the shutdown and criticizing Democrats for using working families as leverage. O’Brien, who has disagreed with both parties when they harm workers, warned that the standoff is hurting aviation workers and families across the country.
This voter revolt is not a mystery. The modern Democrat Party has embraced open borders, soft-on-crime policies, woke extremism, and endless attacks on American values — policies that harm working families, small businesses, and national security. While President Donald J. Trump delivers strong borders, economic growth, and law and order, radical Democrats like Schumer, Pelosi, and Ocasio-Cortez continue pushing agendas that alienate their own base.
President Trump has repeatedly warned that the radical left has abandoned the working class in favor of globalist elites and far-left ideology. The increasing number of Democrats leaving — publicly declaring they can no longer support the party — proves he was right.
