California's Closely Watched U.S. Senate Race Officially Called for Adam Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey

Washington D.C. – The U.S. Senate primary in California has been called, with Democratic Representative Adam Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey emerging as the top two finishers. This sets up a November general election in the heavily Democratic state.
Schiff, who led in polls throughout the primary, is widely expected to win in November and secure the seat previously held by the late Senator Dianne Feinstein. Garvey, a former star for the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres who helped the Dodgers win the 1981 World Series, placed second. His campaign positioned him as an outsider aiming to restore California’s "heartbeat."
Garvey has been outspoken about California's decline, citing rising costs, crime, and businesses leaving the state. In a December interview with Fox News, he explained his decision to run as a Republican: “I couldn’t find anybody I could support that had my values and my commitment to this country.” He emphasized rebuilding small businesses, reducing inflation, and making California livable again for working families.
Schiff, however, enters the general election facing increasing controversy. Tax records and reports indicate he has claimed two primary residences—one in Maryland and one in Burbank, California—for over a decade, allegedly benefiting from homeowner tax breaks in both states. In 2017, he reportedly paid California property taxes with a check showing his Maryland address. His office has maintained that his primary residence is in Burbank, but the dual claims have led to accusations of improper financial maneuvering.
This comes as Schiff has faced renewed scrutiny regarding his involvement in the Russia collusion hoax and the first impeachment of President Donald J. Trump. Newly declassified documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard have raised new questions about Schiff’s contacts with the "whistleblower" and potential leaks of classified intelligence.
President Trump has long identified Schiff as one of the most dishonest and partisan figures in Washington—a man who allegedly weaponized Congress and the intelligence community to promote a hoax against him while reportedly being careless with his own financial disclosures.
The contrast in this race is clear. Steve Garvey represents a return to common-sense values, economic freedom, and prioritizing California families. Adam Schiff represents the radical left’s failed experiment: open borders, high taxes, crime, and endless political persecution.
Under President Trump’s leadership, the Republican Party is becoming the party of working Americans, secure borders, safe streets, and fiscal responsibility.
